Wii Review - WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010

It is a fact, the Smackdown Vs Raw series has become over the years an indispensable reference for professional wrestling video game. The quality of gameplay combined with its rich roster and the care taken in creating probably explains this craze. Beyond that, it is clear that the passion that lives sincerely developers THQ is probably instrumental in its success. WWE Smackdown Vs Raw is a series of wrestling for wrestling fans and we felt this at each level. If the 2008 version had been particularly disappointing for the Wii, the 2009 version had already largely corrected the shooting. But this year is a veritable festival of improvements we have right.

Indeed, in addition to the various game modes and dozens of types of games that we knew before, there are new stunning opportunities. Thus, we can now fighting one against two, organize mixed tags or participate in Scramble Championship featuring five superstars fighting hard for the title. The Royal Rumble has a reviewed and corrected presentation. The places where the clashes are taking place are more numerous. In addition, the Road to Wrestlemania mode is more fleshed out and we can play with his own created wrestlers with the editor of the characters. That said, the most remarkable innovation is without a doubt the emergence of a comprehensive scenario editor that will allow any player passionate about the world of wrestling to make his wildest fantasies.

Through a series of very detailed but still sufficiently clear and ergonomic menus, it is not only possible to hold the matches of their choice by paying the lesser of their parameters, but also and especially to create complex stories illustrated by interludes scriptwriting invented for the occasion. Characters, dialogue, music, scene, camera movement, we control virtually all aspects of staging and narration. So with a little imagination, one can safely make a small film about a fictional turbulent love story between Brie Bella and Carlito or an unexpected clash between Umaga and Mark Henry for a portion of chips. Anything is possible, everything is possible in the way we script! Only flat compared to the HD versions, you can not share your creations online.

Review

In terms of gameplay, nothing has really changed since last year except that the gestures to make with the Wiimote have disappeared. It uses the stick to move and the B button to grab his opponent. Some are taken unprecedented certainly enjoyable experience and cons are now performed using a single button, but overall the veterans of the series are not likely to be disoriented. The number of fighters (and fighting!) available is even more impressive than before and even if their modeling and animation does not seem to have progressed since last year, they still remain quite acceptable for the Wii. Otherwise, there are tons of unlockable bonuses, an immersive career mode, offline multiplayer accepting up to 4 participants, in short everything you need to stay the whole evening in front of your television. With the improvements we discussed earlier; "WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2010 is unquestionably the most comprehensive and successful episode of the series on Wii to date". If his realization begins well just to show its limitations and to acknowledge his age, so we can once again strongly recommend that the purchase of the many fans of wrestling, sports entertainment or fighting in general. Once again, THQ has chosen not to upset the gameplay felt in its famous wrestling simulation to focus on its content. Despite some technical shortcomings, the result is really impressive. Probably the best episode of the series published so far on Wii for the delight of fans. Thank you THQ! by Jean-Alexandre
