Virtual Art only on Wii: Udraw Tablet with Udraw Studio is a recent addition in the children's interactive media products by THQ Inc that is bound to pique the curiosity of those budding artists among us, young and old alike. For all those art lovers out there, this is a great peripheral device to colour with in your free time.
Tablet:
THQ presents you the option of drawing as well as gaming on the 6*4 inch of drawing space provided on the tablet. You have a reasonably thick stylus a bit like an oversized crayon. Manufactured with kids in mind (but mostly right-handed ones), it is chunky and seemingly not easily breakable.
Studios:
With Udraw Tablet and Udraw Studio, you get to dabble in the arts with different environments like beach settings, canvasses like paper and sidewalks and various types of pens, chalks, charcoals and airbrushes. You can experiment with layers and shades to give more authenticity to your drawings. Udraw Studio is eco friendly and leaves no mess behind, unlike traditional hobby craft painting on paper. Two other games in the uDraw series worth getting are - Pictionary, the Draw and Guess Game, and also Dood's Big Adventure a game you can play with the pen as a weapon.
A wide range of textures exist including Cardboard and Concrete! You have about 30 minutes of drawing time and so it is definitely aimed at being a beginner's kit rather than a professional one. With easy navigation possibilities and great accessibility, the Udraw Tablet with Udraw Studio is bound to get more children interested in drawing and painting. You can even see a replay of the way in which the art was created. This acts as a great means to train young minds – through an informal peek into the minds of the great artists and how they arrived at their masterpieces!
