Originally designed for the Wii console in 2010, the uDraw tablet has also been modified to satisfy the needs of Xbox360 and PlayStation3 users. The video game publishing company THQ has developed the tablet. It allows users to draw and view their sketches and drawings on-screen using pressure sensitive stylus.
The art-based video game uDraw studio is installed which was released in black on Nov 2011. The previous version was white for the Wii console. Two other games were also introduced for the tablet namely uDraw Pictionary and Dood's Big Adventure. The device uses AA batteries and is not compatible with PlayStation's own motion based controller the "PlayStaion Move".
The uDraw Studio includes features such as painting, environments, colouring book, replay, galleries, save and share etc. combining all these features with a very detailed "tool box"; which allows users to adjust brush sizes, margins, details etc. and it goes perfectly with the uDraw tablet.
The uDraw enables gamers to sketch and draw at will. Capable of free-from finger painting and pinch-and-stretch zooming, the uDraw has a high resolution screen with an amazingly responsive touch screen. Satisfying gamers from all aspects the uDraw is both Xbox360 and PS3 control enabled; the controls of both the consoles have been directly integrated into the tablet, so there's no need to connect a controller.
Moreover, this device has all the features necessary for advanced game play, tilt, shake and jump at will, no need to connect a wire and has 256 points of pressure sensitivity; therefore, enabling the gamer to draw clearly in detail.
It has been designed keeping both right handed and left handed users, from the starters to the pros, as it has everything to make games more interesting. Anyone can design and draw all one needs is a little creativity and imagination.
