Review
Fans of "The Elder Scrolls" role-paying game for Xbox 360 and PS3 can get their copy of "The Elder Scrolls V: Syrim" on November 11, 2011. This popular video game, created by the makers of the award winning Bethesda Game Studios, is the most recent installation in the series.
This long awaited sequel, features the frosty land of Sykrim, a land filled with numerous distractions, noise, side quests and crafting systems. According to Bethesda Game Studios, this new version of "The Elder Scrolls" contains a larger world than its predecessors, and contains more dense features and distractions to encourage exploring. Expanded potion-making, enchanting, and the ability to craft weapons almost from scratch has also been added. The number of combat options has been expanded to include weapons, spells and shouts, as well as, the ability to mix and match spells and weapons according to specific gaming needs.
Other key changes to The Elder Scrolls include character mobility. Character's right and left arms are now mapped to two separate buttons on the game console. For example, if you are playing on a Xbox 360, your right arm would be connected to the right trigger on the controller. This creates the reality of a much more involved combat experience. A 3D view of the map screen, complete with highlighted points of interest, and a skill screen composed of star constellations also create more in-depth gaming experience.
Gamers now have access to 18 skills, 3 attributes and 280 perks. Leveling up is also quick than in the preceding Oblivion game. Creatures and NPCs are more dynamic with increased uniqueness. More than 60,000 line of audio dialog have been recorded to create a more rich Sykrim world and character interaction. A new technology called Radiant Story allows the game to create a more customized experience each time the player accesses it.
