Skate 3 Game

Skate 3 is the third title in the skateboarding series developed by EA Black Box and released on May 11, 2010. Having become a pro skater in the previous game, Skate 3 allows the player to create a skateboarding company and skate team.

Two new game modes have been added, Easy and Hardcore. This allows the player to alter the difficulty of the trick system to their best benefit. As in the Tony Hawk games of similar style, players can create their own skate parks in Park mode. Three new multi player modes have been added. For example, in 1-Up, the player has a certain number of seconds in order to get a high total with the rest of your team, which the next team has to beat.

Previously introduced characters, like Joey Brezinksi and Rob Dyrdek, have returned in this newest installment, and some new tricks are introduced, like the darkslide and underflip. The game is set in the city of Port Caverton, which has three districts: Industrial, Downtown, and the University. Each district has its own unique landscape and monuments.

Some omissions from the previous game include the anti-skater clips and caps which made certain areas un-lockable. Now, the player has the freedom to skate throughout the entire city without blockade. Skate 3’s AI proves a bit tricky and can make performing challenges slightly more difficult, with pro skaters falling off their skateboards unaided. Replace AI skaters with other players, and this challenge is instantly eradicated.

Though faced with some minor problems, Skate 3 is regarded as the best game in the series. With new play modes and areas to conquer, it should prove one of the best skateboarding games around. by Lauren

Skate

"Skate" was so successful that EA Games released "Skate 2" in January 2009. "Skate 2" offers a new game known as "hall of meat" where the objective is to 'bail' (fall off of the skateboard) and to try and brake as many bones as possible in order to get a high score. The idea originated from the original "Skate" where one of the missions in the career mode was based upon the "hall of meat" idea. "Skate 2" now has a wide variety of new levels created just for that aspect of the game. This new idea has been a great add on to the game and offers endless hours of fun, watching the players hurt themselves.. Skate 2 (also a main feature of fun in Skate 3)
