Resident Evil Revelations 3DS + Circle Pad Pro

Fourteen years after the first edition of Resident Evil debuted on the market with Sony PlayStation, Capcom is now offering a new single player sequel of the ever-popular action game franchise. Initially announced to be ported on the Nintendo 3DS, Resident Evil: Revelations looks to be a completely new entry in the series.

With a new storyline that is set on a ‘ghost tanker,’ Resident Evil: Revelations turns out to be one of the most exciting new games on the 3DS platform. The story revolves around the characters of BSAA agents Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine who are set up against the forces of Umbrella, a few of them are Zombies!

The initial reviews on the 3DS and the specifications of the game are very encouraging. If the initial trailer is anything to go by, the promise of intense 3D graphics sounds terrific. The gameplay allows customized HDR, self shadows, and maps. Players will also find the options to alter color correction and depth, as well as motion blur. Changing these settings affects the manner in which images appear on the screen, bringing realism and lifelike graphics to the player.

The 3D brings an amazing dimension to the game here in the horror-survival genre. Imagine a zombie jumping at you from out of the screen. This could take the tension, excitement, and scares of the game to another level. The game seems to be loyal in going back to its horror roots.

The gameplay also has a setting where there exists a scenario of the partners acting against each other and attacking, because of an infection.

Resident Evil: Revelations promises to be a cracker of a game and among the best one released in 2011. And who knows, this game might actually be adding another dimension to fear. The third dimension in viewing and playing might soon be as big and indispensable as an HD, which was not too long ago! - by Dexter, 23-09-2010
