Rayman Origins on PlayStation Vita, the 2D sidescroller platform game, is the fourth version in the series of Rayman and one that has gamers enthused.
On and off screen graphics appear brightly coloured, with no fuzzy edges, and great animations. Levels were carefully crafted to create a complete adventure aspect to platforms. Rayman does not come with new moves, which did disappoint, this limits you to punching, swimming, running and climbing. The game offers the option of one to four players that control Rayman, Gobox and two Teensies. Throughout the game, the players are in search of cages to release the Electoons that are held captive inside the cage. Unlike the original version, the cages in Rayman Origins are being surrounded by many enemies to the player that utilize a force field so they can protect the cage. In order to free the Electoons, the player must defeat each of the enemies that is utilizing a force field, then the player can free the Electoons by destroying the cage. On the side that has a green padlock, the cage can only be damaged. Players must hunt for the cages in passages that are secret, and once the player frees the Electoons, they create a portal that directs the player to the outside passages. Medallions are contained on each level that allows the player to know how many successful breaks they have made, how many Lums the have collected, or whether they have beat the clock completing the level. Each level has cages that are hidden and range from one to three.
