One of the oldest and best selling racing game brands has lots new to offer fans. Need for Speed: The Run - is the 18th title in the Need for Speed brand. EA Black Box is developing this game and Electronic Arts will publish it. Firebrand Games is developing the game's 3DS version.
Need for Speed: The Run is out now to pre-order. Its scheduled to be released on 18th November, 2011.
The game is simply described as an unlawful high-stakes race across the nation. The principal character tries to get his life back by being the first to finish a race which starts from San Francisco and ends in New York. There are No Rules, No Speed Limits and No Allies. All the player has is his driving skills and pure determination as he battles hundreds of the Planet's most notorious drivers on the nation's most dangerous roads.
The Run is the very first game in the Need for Speed racing game history that allows players to travel on foot. Yes, this car racing game features quick time events; players will exist their car and travel on foot! The event plots will not always center around success or failure states. In some sections of the game, there are branching effects, so if or when a player messes up a certain button press, they will get another opportunity to pull through.
A Limited Edition of this game is for sale exclusive by the GAME group (GAME.co.uk, Gamestation.co.uk, Gameplay.co.uk), made available through pre-order, while stock lasts. The Run's Limited Edition will feature several bonuses over the standard edition, the features include:
