![]() Monster Hunter Tri - Nintendo Wii
ReviewMonster Hunter Tri is the third installment of the popular Monster Hunter series, which will be coming out in North America on April 20th and Europe on April 23rd of 2010. The game continues the premise of an ecosystem where man and monster coexist on land and sea, with the expected upgrades and expansions that any new installment would promise. The environments in Monster Hunter Tri have expanded to include underwater landscapes as well as an active volcano. The ecosystem has evolved to include eighteen new monsters with their interactive AI redesigned so not only do the interact with the hunters but with other monsters. Each weapon class has been updated, which include Sword and Shield, Hammer, Bowgun, Longsword, and the newly introduced Switch Axe, which, as it’s name suggests, can switch between axe and sword forms. However, Bows, Gunlances, Duel Swords, and Hunting Horns do not return in this newest installment. You can choose between three different control figurations, using either Wii remote, Nunchuck, or the Wii classic controller which best suits your particular style. The Enhanced Single Player mode allows a player to ease into the world of Monster Hunter through a series of tutorial quests so you can easily become accustomed to the gameplay. And of course, Capcom’s online wi-fi mode allows up to four players to connect online and join into a hunting party of epic proportions. A new Wii Classic Controller Pro is going to be bundled with Monster Hunter Tri, presumably in White. The new Pro controller design is far better than the first Wii classic controller. With updated features and expanded gameplay, Monster Hunter Tri for the Nintendo Wii seems to be more than worthy of the hype surrounding its release. by Lauren Click here to write your review.
