Xbox 360

Microsoft has taken an old console and literally polished it, silenced it, WiFi enabled it, trimmed the fat, glossed it black, then re-released it dulled down in matte black as a repackaged model: called Xbox 360 S. Kinect has certainly attributed to the console going from strength to strength.

Review

Michael Jackson, the music based video game is scheduled for release on Xbox 360 and Kinect in April 2011. Developed by Triumph International and published by Ubisoft Paris, Michael Jackson, The Experience will feature MJ's biggest hits such as Bad, Beat It, Smooth Criminal, Billie Jean and of course the biggest of them all, Thriller. Limited edition replicas of the famous MJ sequined glove will be given away will all initial launches.

To music lovers the world over, Michael Jackson is the God of pop music. His on-screen persona, electric stage presence and dream moves are stuff legends are made of. Michael Jackson the Experience does manage to capture the captivating movements and magic of his songs that made him the undisputed king of the pop world. Michael Jackson fans are sure to love the experience of dancing to his classic hits including doing that trademark moonwalk.

You can choose from the 26 rollicking classics to dance to the tune of the legend along with your friends. All you have to do with Kinect is to stand in front of your 360 and replicate the movements of the virtual dancer. Xbox Kinect tracks your movements and awards you points on the basis of its levels of perfection with a Bad, OK, Good or Perfect. A score card on the left of the screen records your score hitting star markers along the way. At the end of each song you are awarded a star score depending on your performance.

Those not blessed with advanced dancing skills can find some of the moves tough to match up with especially some signature moves such as high kicks, toe stands and of course the moonwalk. You can do the next best thing by performing as one of the backing dancers who do not have to do the complicated MJ moves.

Michael Jackson – The Experience is fun, hilarious and extremely entertaining whether you are a singer or dancer. It is a great way to have a boisterous sing and dance – especially with friends. With or without Kinect this game is something special.
