Review
Mario Sports Mix will surprise its fans with a new Avatar! Nintendo has declared the launch of its next version of mascot-heavy sports game. It is due for release on February 7, 2011.
Sports Mix is developed by Square Enix exclusive for the Wii. There are four sports events - basketball, dodgeball, volleyball, and hockey - with lots of new features and multiplayer game modes. The sports come in various states, revolving around Mario. The cast of Mario mascots are the regular ones, but you'd also see star generic characters like cactuar, mages, moogles, and slimes, straight from Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy.
Each character displays its own signature move in the game; for example, the heart-filled attacks of Princess Peach or the fireball of Mario. Players can benefit through interaction with the arenas that will be character-themed and through power ups, which include stuff such as a Mini Mushroom that shrinks the volleyball before it passes through the net. Although the fundamental rules of the game exists, each sporting event features amazing twists like coins and other special things that double the fun and excitement.
Characters
The official Japanese website of Mario Sports Mix declared that the newer version will include certain Final Fantasy characters. Ah, the traditional Mario roster will be there too! The playable characters include Peach, Daisy, Mario, Luigi, Bowser and Bowser Junior, Yoshi, Waluigi, and Toad. These are on the Mario side. The characters on the Final Fantasy side include Shirma, Ninja, Croma, Cactuar, and Moogle. Moreover, you'd be able to choose your Mii characters.
The WiFi Connection Mode of Nintendo enables you to put up a fight against random global players or a friend. There can be a couple of human players in the WiFi mode in each console. However, the website indicates that the game will feature Wii versus Wii, instead of 6 Wii configuration.
Mario Sports Mix has already a huge number of fans. February will bring a fresh mix of sports and characters which will undoubtedly increase numbers of the privileged Wii community lucky enough to own this title.
