Review
Based on "The Clone Wars" animated series, LEGO Star Wars III game gets released on March 25, 2011 in Europe. Developed by Traveler's Tales for the PS3, Xbox 360, DS, Wii, PSP, 3DS, and PC, the game features characters and missions from The Clone Wars television series and the original Star Wars saga. Lego Star Wars III can be played in both single as well as multi-player gameplay modes and it has different themes including Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Film), and Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008 TV Series).
The Clone Wars will be similar to previous TT Games in LEGO series in which two players change the different characters to fight with enemies. They solve the puzzles to reach the next levels and complete several other objectives. There is a scene swap where players switch between the teams in different locations to supervise the battles and defeat their enemies.
It also features real-time strategy elements and space fights. But in this particular addition, the space fights have been modified to use the 3D space battle sensation.
The LEGO engine can hold more than 200 objects onscreen now. Plus, there has been an immense change in graphics and sound effects. Improved lighting enhances the feeling of depth.
A special scenario, the Story Swap Mode, has been introduced where players can have authority over large armies of clones to fight against droid armies. The new character moves include light saber slicing, light saber throwing, picking up droids, and stepping on certain pads. Vehicle level has also been upgraded slightly. Players can now land their ships and fight on foot. Classic characters Darth Vader, Chewbacca and Luke Skywalker, return to support and try to assonate Ahsoka.
