L.A. Noire is a fantasy come true for those would-be detectives who are either too young to become one in reality or just didn't make it to those final adult rounds of investigations. This rock star crime thriller, developed by Team Bondi and Rockstar Games, takes you to the 1940s City of Dreams, Hollywood, Los Angeles.
L.A. Noire – The Story:
You are a World War 2 veteran police detective, Cole Phelps, looking to right the wrongs that come with every war by cleansing the city of LA of criminals in all garbs. Your job is to solve crimes ranging from traffic violations to homicide, arson, and ultimately the Underworld. You get to deal with hard evidence, witnesses, clues, and other elements crucial to investigations in piecing together your case.
What's good about L.A. Noire:
- The ‘global illumination’ and MotionScan technology enables the slightest facial twitches to be caught by the 32 cameras surrounding people from various angles. All these expressions contribute in enabling you to make progress in the investigations.
- The entire setting will give you a feel of late 1940s LA with corruption, drug-dealing, and other immoral and illegal activities being the backdrop in which you, as the cop, operate. The scenes will remind you of the suspense thrillers of that period – the lighting, especially in keeping with those movies.
- L.A Noir has many exciting features. It's only compatible with PS3 and Xbox 360.

As a part of the marketing, those who pre-order L.A. Noire will get additional content. The content will vary from store to store. It could be a hunt for missing police badges or an extra case.
