Much Awaited, Much Appreciated – Duke Nukem Forever
The Microsoft Windows PS3 and X-Box 360 game so eagerly awaited is finally here. Duke Nukem Forever, originally scheduled for release much earlier, will finally hit the gaming market in May 2011. The game is a first-person shooter video game and is a sequel to the 2006 Duke Nukem 3Dgame.
The New
There have been rampant rumors and carefully leaked information about the game's exciting new features. These include new monsters, amazing weaponry, and complex plots. Needless to say, the game will be a graphics and sound experience in itself. The X-Box 360 version of the game (and probably even the PC version) lets up to eight gamers play at a time, multiplying the gaming fun. The multiplayer game includes DukeMatch, Team Dukematch, Capture the Babe, and Hail to the King. The weapons include everything from a pistol to railguns, freezer guns and tripbombs. The HoloDuke enables the player to become invisible.
The Bizarre
Duke Nukem Forever promises a bizarre angle in humor to those who always look for something new. Duke can throw his own urine and feces at defeated enemies, something that may not go down well with everyone.
Plus, there's a deep implicit undercurrent of sexual games, too. In Capture the Babe, Duke must ‘control’ a girl by smacking her. There's a topless stripper seen giving him a lap dance, a pair of giggling teenagers apparently performing oral sex on him, and a strip club where he must locate sex toys to proceed further!
The Gore
As in the other games of the genre, Duke Nukem Forever is full of edge-of-the-seat action sequences. Aggressive and bloody fights with alien monsters are seen throughout the game. The out-of-the-world weaponry leave nothing more to wish for. Duke must journey through the game rescuing women captured by aliens for procreation. There is blood, there is gore, and there is excitement all through the game.
Whether the rumors, sneak peeks, and news leaks are genuine, that only needs to be seen to be believed. But, Duke Nukem Forever promises to be worth the wait for all gaming fanatics.
