If you love adventure games, particularly those that are played on the Xbox 360 platform, then you are likely to enjoy the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow which is likely to be released in October 2010. This is going to be a single player, third person action adventure game, and it comes from the Castlevania series franchisee. The game will be available in Blu-ray discs and in DVD format. This game has been developed by MercurySteam and Kojima Productions. There is already a lot of anticipation about the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, and it has become one of the most awaited games of 2010.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Feature Improvements
Launching a computer game, particularly one that belongs to a series is tricky. And, it becomes even more so if the series has become popular. Since a lot of gamers have tried it before, they expect an improvement when a new game in the series is being launched. However, they also expect continuity. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow thus has to walk the thin line, and according to the developers, a lot of attention is being given to this factor. Lords of Shadow has 50 levels!
With this Xbox 360 game, the developers have also made an attempt to reach out to a wider audience by distancing it from the previous games of the Castlevania series. Hence, some of the features have been dropped. However, most of the elements have been retained to ensure that the current fans do not feel alienated and can associate themselves very easily.
For instance, werewolves and vampires are recurring enemies in this one, but there are other existing enemies such as giant spiders, trolls and creatures that appear like goblins. The elements that already exists such as the characters, levels and graphics remain – but their beats per minute have been increased and because of this the game might seem new to those who have played the series before. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is also on 3D format, and this is another change.
