The Call of Duty: Black Ops is seventh in the Call of Duty video game series. The first official trailer of the game was made public on 30 April 2010, and the game will be released on 9th November. The game, which is basically a military action adventure, has been fashioned for Nintendo DS & DSi consoles.
The game has been developed by Treyarch and will be released by Activision. Call of Duty: Black Ops is a multiplayer game, which is set in the post-World War II era. However, the time setting of the game is not limited to the Vietnam War alone, but it offers players war time settings in different parts of the world, anytime between World War II and the present day.
The trailer that was released by Activision gives eager players a taste of what the game promises to offer. The trailer was released on GameTrailers TV Episode 310. Besides the trailer, the company's blog also mentioned the date of the trailer release. Prior to the release of the trailer, certain game publishing houses were also introduced to the game. The company sent unmarked envelopes containing flash drives with sound and audio files. On decrypting the codes on these files, the trailer was made available.
It is anticipated that this new sequel in the series will outdo the earlier versions in terms of graphics, environment, and missions. The player also gets to use non-traditional weapons to fulfil the mission that he or she has been assigned.
The campaign statement by Activision reveals that the game will be accompanied by dedicated servers. It was also made known that the much-awaited game will feature the zombie mode, allowing players to carry out missions as members of the Special Air Service.
