The new Hero release from by the same rig which made five Guitar Hero games and a DJ game completes the gig with a whole band – minus the Christmas choir.
| Band Hero included some of the old greats – the Jackson 5 and big acts of this generation such as Taylor Swift. As in Guitar Hero, Band Hero allows the player to play in single player or in full band mode given you a choice of instruments. Fans asked for it and they got it! Band Hero lets all the muti-player’s play lead guitar. Party mode’s a great new Band Hero feature; this is where the game loads up the initial main menu and any player can pick up and jump in and out of. Party mode was awesome played in a group of friends as it randomly selects the songs to play and doesn’t stop continually looping through all Band Hero tracks. |

The track list does offer a wide variety of pop music as opposed to the rock/metal roots of the Guitar Hero franchise. Band Hero gameplay hasn’t changed much between the last versions and is very linear, the campaign can be completed in both single and full band play where each player creates a character and earns stars for the songs they complete. One new aspect brought forward from GH5 was the challenges that are associated with each song; this is where each song has a specific challenge that can be completed for optional extra stars.
Band Hero multiplayer offers numerous modes where the player can play online with up to 7 other players in the massive ‘band v band’ mode. There are some of the classic modes such as ‘face off’, ‘Proface off’ and ‘battle’, that still make the game an enjoyable experience. There are more online features such as the DLC store where the player can download new songs as they are released on a weekly basis, there is also the ability to download user created content. Band Hero contains the music studio from the previous versions, this allows the user to create their own music tracks and play them or upload them for others to download. Add to the152 available as down load content if you don’t own Guitar Hero World Tour.
Importing Music: Finally the game offers the player the ability to import songs from previous games at a small cost, for example the player can import the songs from Guitar Hero 5 for 800MPS’s (£7). This will give the entire track list from the previous game to the player to use in Band Hero. Band Hero Super Bundle ships with game and instrument/controllers. by Daniel
